I won't pretend that I snack like this all the time because I don't. When I make conscious choices for the benefit of my health and well being, I feel stronger and healthier. My body thrives when I eat nutrient rich foods and this is a sampling of my *good choice* go-to snacks.
Two notes: I discovered sweetriot chocolate a few weeks ago at the fancy supermarket. I would encourage you to visit their website and check out their products. The kickin coconut is to die for. I'm officially hooked. It's now my favorite chocolate. They have a 100 calorie snack line and a 1 calorie per piece tin of cacao nibs. I love this company. Their products are ORGANIC, NON GMO, NO GLUTEN, NO DAIRY, LOW IN SUGAR & KOSHER. Yum. The absolute perfect chocolate fix.
Last night while browsing the snacks at the health food store, I came across Dang Toasted Coconut Chips. I picked up a bag of Caramel Sea Salt flavor. Oh. My. God. Get these. You will not be sorry. Fun fact: Dang coconut chips is a family company that grew through funding from Kickstarter. Watch their video here.
All things in moderation like a hadfull of nuts ... 2 squares of chocolate ... a few crackers with cheese or hummus is satisfying between meals or as a treat. Staying hydrated with water helps distinguish the feeling of hunger or thirst.
