I thank my lucky stars for friends (and my sister) who see me with the kind of clarity that my foggy head does not allow for at the moment.
They are my anchors. They jump & wave with a map in their hands when they see I have lost my way. A little super soul Sunday helps as well.
I begin this chilly Monday with clarity, purpose, and presence.
Weekend highlights: Saying YES! and treating my kid to a fun weekend at the movies with friends & sleepovers.
Deep convos while knitting :: a coffee date with my bestie :: cleaning through drawers, getting this house (which has served us beautifully) ready to be passed on to another family :: finding a new recipe to try for tomorrow night's dinner.
I ate completely gluten free on Friday and I have to say, I felt fantastic! (I'm slowly going to be eliminating the gluten out of my diet over the next couple of weeks. There has been a reflux issue going on with my stomach that responded awesomely to non gluten foods.)
There was also some much needed rest and meditation (<--- I use an app for that).
Low parts: Just one thing. I miss my Z. He is so busy working after Hurricane Sandy, it's cah-ray-zee. Most of the work he's doing is at Seaside Heights, where this happened. It's about an hour + drive from home so he's staying down there at a hotel until the work is done. I'm happy he provides a service for this type of disaster and that he can be a part in the rebuilding process - I take no delight in the fact that he is so busy due to other people's misfortune - I just really fucking miss my hubby.
It's been a while, but I'm so glad to be sharing this weekending post with Amanda!

Yes, I did just share a recipe chock full o' gluten in the paragraph before stating I want to go G-free.
It is not lost on me....

Honey. I am reading every word. You and me....we share the same weather and the same feelings about weather. I am loving all your colors right now. And all the dreamy, hazy. Love you lots and lots and lots. Keep writing. I love reading your words...it's like the best kind of conversation.

Mmmm Food & Wine is one of the top sites I visit for food inspiration. Nice choice.
Gluten free really does feel great, whether you are sensitive or not. I think it helps to avoid or elimate it. We've eliminated it in our house for the last month and love it. FYI, have you tried BioK+ probiotics....great to heal the digestive system. I am recommending to all!!
