a conversation with January

Hello January, you dreary, frigid, bitter month that I so secretly adore.

You justify my need to stay in my house, perfectly content doing nothing at all. You practically beg me to consume more hot cocoa than what is considered normal.

Your exquisite landscape persuades me to bundle up and walk the streets, stalking you like a paparazzo with my camera.

Of all the months, it's you I usually choose to rest and regroup. This year is different though because I have done nothing but rest for the last six months. This year, we're adventuring together, you & I.  There plans are already in place. Just you wait, January. You have no idea what I have in store for you.
