By no means do I want to wish August or Summer away, but man ... it is so refreshing when one wakes up to crispy, cool, fall - like air.
I'm thinking about the coming months and asking myself "what do you want / need most this season?"
Nourishment. Apples picked off the tree, to be used in breads and tarts and pies - maybe even a (spiked!) cider.
Nourishment. Long walks in the fresh air around the lake and mountain trails where I can inhale deeply and exhale what needs release. My eyes will just have to deal with the heavy barrage of gorgeous color. It's okay. They can handle it.
Nourishment. Gathering with my creative sisters by the sea.
Nourishment. Giving myself the gift of presence by living in this moment. Not the last, not the next. To continue forward with restorative yoga because it was really good for me. To strive for alignment within.
Nourishment. More date nights with Zak. More adventures with Angie. Cool nights around the fire with good friends.
What this coming season holds has yet to unfold, but I sit with such anticipation for all that is coming.

Bella, so good to read your self care practices. I believe we would all be much happier if we could learn to live in the moment, it is something with which I struggle. Time to address that.
Beautiful images of the ripeness and bounty of Autumn.

I'm right there with you...I love summer ...but it's time for the crisp air, scarves, snuggling in and overall hibernation. things have to have time to percolate :)
